Where good ideas move in.
aleph-house is a startup studio and venture partner in a house in Palo Alto.
We work like a startup factory: we bring the people together, help them build, and back the companies that come out of it.
See what's growing (14)How the house works
01
The porch
Ideas show up as conversations. Neighbors, founders and friends sit down, sketch, argue a little, and find the ones worth building.
02
The workshop
We build alongside the team: shared engineering, design and a working stack, so a prototype becomes a product without waiting on a round.
03
The front door
When it's ready, we bring it to light. Funding, a first customer, a home on the web. Many projects stay hosted right here.

art-synthetic
In the workshopTurns a collection of hand-drawn notebook page photos into a structured dataset (transcribed text + style characteristics + artwork descriptions + spatial relationships), then uses that dataset to drive two generative outputs: a text-voice generator and an image-style generator.
Collaborative Faust Composer
In the workshopA real-time collaborative music composition app. Three one-octave piano keyboards, each running its own Faust instrument voice (synthesized client-side via WebAssembly, compiled in-browser from Faust DSP source), broadcast live note events to every other connected user over a WebSocket. Live staff notation and guitar tablature are rendered via VexFlow from the same recorded event stream. A shared, session-wide transport (Start Recording / Stop / Rewind / Play) controls a single take: Stop pauses capturing (Start resumes into the same take, punch-in/out style), Rewind clears it, and Play replays it back in sync for everyone connected.
scene-engine
In the workshopA JSON-described, GSAP/Matter.js-animated "Scene" engine: spawnable, draggable, physics-enabled components positioned on a 0-100 virtual grid, with Django-backed persistence and live cross-tab sync over WebSocket.
Sports & Fitness
Delo Sports, Inc. — website and store
In the workshopConsumer site and store ("who we are", Tennis Tutor, Ripwave) plus a live store that takes payment in ETH straight from the shopper's browser wallet. Node 22+, no dependencies.
Wave Robotics
In the workshopMonorepo for Wave Robotics (fictional skateboard brand).
SFTC: Sports & Fitness Training Complex
In the workshopA planned physical training center in the Fabian neighborhood: four tennis courts, a pickleball section, a fitness room for court athletes, recovery rooms, and a lab where the equipment from the sister projects is used on the floor. It sits alongside the businesses that grow up around a facility like this: coaching, pro shop and stringing, physio, juniors, leagues and a café. It goes by **SFTC** on the site and in signage.
Shaky
In the workshopshaky turns the iPhone into a hand-exercise device. The user shakes the phone in a prescribed pattern (back-and-forth, circle, oval, figure-8). Each rep throws a 3D basketball, and how well the rep matched decides where it goes: - **Too hard** flies over the hoop; **too soft** falls short. - **Wrong path** misses to the side. The side follows the sign of the main error. - **Wrong tempo** gets coached ("Faster!") and nothing is thrown.
Tennis Tutor
In the workshopA line of tennis products: VibraMaster, a racket-mounted iPhone app and sensor, plus a ball tosser, T-Sight and a training game.
Defi
Leghorn Exchange
In the workshopAn NFT-backed marketplace for fractional real-estate ownership. Each property/cluster is minted as an ERC-721, backed by a fungible, ERC-3643-flavored "share" token representing fractional ownership, and traded against ETH through a per-property constant-product AMM. A Next.js 13 (Pages Router) + TypeScript frontend drives property creation, KYC administration, and trading/liquidity.
Wyandotte Custody Exchange
In the workshopCustody for tokenized real-world assets on blockchain.
Transit & Automation
Autonomous Transit
In the workshopA simulation of a logistics network of autonomous vessels — self-driving units moving across a mesh of large (fast) and small (slow) roads, summoned on demand rather than running continuously.
invasives
In the workshopA simulated wheeled rover (Isaac Sim) that drives through a field of grass, identifies invasive species among look-alikes using a vision model trained on synthetic data, and uses an arm to pull up only the invasive shoots.
Fun & Games
Taxi Race
In the workshopA taxi racing game in plain JavaScript (ES modules) with no build step. You drive from a 3D driver's-seat view (three.js, loaded from a CDN) with a 2D top-down minimap. The game is a port of a Unity 2D prototype.
Wargames
In the workshopEarly-stage prototype of a multi-user strategy/war game set across the Arabian theater, deployed as a website. Each player has their own account and, in a campaign, is the **general of a faction**. Core themes: **factions and tribes**, **territorial capture**, and the production and delivery of **drones and missiles**, the primary weapons. "Sands of Arabia" is a placeholder title.
Come by
The porch light is usually on. If you're working on something, or want to help someone who is, stop in. Bring the idea, and we'll have coffee.
